Northern Lights Series
Three pieces each 36 × 36 mixed media on wood. This series was inspired by a small series named “Pizzazz”. I loved the bright yellow greens, purples and pinks. But I wondered if such bright colours could also work on a large scale. These can be purchased individually or as a series.
Last summer I was fortunate to see the northern lights at my cottage. I used a new model Apple phone and a tripod with a timer. I was mesmerized by the array of colours, the designs, and the constantly changing sky. These paintings incorporate a similar array of colours.
